Manolis Varouchas

FOUNDER, VIDEO GAMES MUSEUM

Museum professional, curator, cultural entrepreneur, speaker and digital strategist based in Heraklion, Crete. He is Founder and Director of the Video Games Museum, Founder and Creative Director of The Art, and Founder and Director of imonline.

With more than 18 years of experience in digital projects, information systems, cultural communication and creative production, his work combines museology, digital culture, exhibition development, visual storytelling, collections documentation and public engagement. His current activity focuses on the preservation, interpretation and public presentation of video games and contemporary digital culture as forms of cultural heritage.

He has completed specialised programmes of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Museology and Museum Education, and in Museum Tourism.
